SEN Support Worker PA, Surbiton, KT6. A fantastic opportunity available for a proactive, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Professional to join a small home care team providing 1:1 support to a fabulous young lady. Up to £20.00 Gross per Hour.

Nearest Tube/Station: Surbiton Train Station, 10-minute walk from station to the client s home.
Wage/Salary: £18.00 Weekdays £20.00 Weekends £140.60 per Night (10.00pm 8.00am). Annual Salary: £27,000.00 + All figures quoted in gross
Driver Essential? Yes, essential. Automatic vehicle for use whilst on duty.
Essential: Experience supporting a young person with a learning disability, non-smoker/vaper, confident with manual handling (supporting with transitions etc.) This role is open to female applicants only.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Tuesday and Friday 2.45pm to 10.15pm, then Saturday 12 noon to 10.00pm, sleeping night 10.00pm through to Sunday 8.00am, then 8.00am to 9.00am. Additional hours are available during school holidays. This role can be offered as a job share, please get in touch with your availability.

About this client: Amy is a long-standing client of Snap Care, with two of her current team members introduced by Snap Care 10 years ago! Amy is a fabulous 19-year-old, with a love for music, dancing, going to the cinema, browsing local shops, socialising with her friends and spending time with her family. Amy is in her last year of school and will be transitioning to college in September very exciting times ahead! Amy has cerebral palsy, a learning disability, epilepsy (controlled by daily medication), and scoliosis. She has a PEG in situ for all nutritional supplements, fluid and medication. Amy uses a wheelchair when outside and for distances but is mobile around the home and is totally dependent on others to meet all her needs. Amy uses sounds, facial expressions and body language to communicate. There is an opening for an afterschool, weekend and school holiday SEN Support Worker(s) to join Amy s small, dedicated and friendly team.

Overview of role: This role involves lots of engagement and interaction, Amy is very sociable and loves to participate in activities, family events etc. Her SEN Support Worker will assist with her afternoon and evening routine, which includes preparing and administering feeds, fluids, and medication, personal care, and organising activities. Amy may prefer to relax after a busy day at school by watching a movie at home. Amy has physiotherapy on Tuesday, and her SEN Support will support her during these sessions. Saturdays and during school holidays, there s more time to plan outings and trips. Amy loves staying active and you ll take the initiative in researching activities or events she will enjoy. Amy generally sleeps well, and only requires occasional support, either to pull up her duvet or help her to get comfy. Amy can find it difficult when a new person is introduced to her team and can become anxious; a care plan is in place to support Amy throughout the transition.

Who this job would suit: An engaging, outgoing and friendly Female SEN Professional with experience supporting young people with additional needs. Someone confident driving a larger vehicle to drive Amy to and from activities.
