We are seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our Team. This role involves facilitating the Agile software development process and ensuring that our team adheres to Agile principles, practices, and values to deliver high-quality software solutions. The Scrum Master will report directly to the Product Support Manager and play a crucial role in driving the team's productivity and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Facilitate Scrum Events: Conduct daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews to ensure adherence to Agile methodology.
- Ensure Agile Processes are Followed: Monitor and ensure the team is embracing Agile principles like continuous improvement and delivering working software frequently.
- Serve as a Coach: Mentor and coach the development team on Agile methodologies, fostering self-management and independence.
- Manage the Backlog: Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development team leaders to prioritise the backlog effectively.
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that may hinder the team's ability to deliver software solutions on time.
- Monitor Progress: Keep track of the development team's progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Promote Transparency: Encourage an open and transparent process within the team, facilitating constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure Quality: Oversee the team's adherence to quality assurance processes to meet the required software solution standards.
- Facilitate Communication: Act as a mediator among the development team, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to enhance communication and collaboration.
- Continuously Improve: Seek opportunities to enhance processes and the overall performance of the development team.
- Increase Productivity: Implement strategies to boost productivity through process improvements, training, and accountability measures.
- Hosting Training Sessions: Design and deliver creative training sessions to broaden the team's knowledge on various topics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities.
- Experience with change management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to manage complex products/requirements and coordinate multiple teams.
- Familiarity with JIRA or equivalent tools is beneficial.
- Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
