About the Role:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring that examinations are conducted fairly and smoothly. You will provide essential support to both students and staff during exam periods, creating a secure and calm environment that allows students to perform their best.

Responsibilities of an Exam Invigilator:

• Prepare examination rooms according to official guidelines.
• Ensure students follow exam rules and maintain a professional atmosphere.
• Distribute and collect examination papers and materials efficiently.
• Provide clear instructions to students before, during and after exams.
• Monitor students throughout the exam to prevent any irregularities.
• Assist students who may need additional support or adjustments.
• Report any issues or breaches of regulations to the exam coordinator.

Requirements for the Exam Invigilator Role:

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication abilities and a calm, professional demeanour.
• Flexibility to work during exam seasons, including mornings and afternoons.
• Previous experience in invigilation or education is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine commitment to maintaining fairness and integrity in exams.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
