A highly respected financial institution is seeking a seasoned and driven Head of Infrastructure to lead their global IT strategy. This is a unique opportunity to spearhead significant transformation, build a high-performing team, and make a tangible impact on a large scale. This role demands a blend of strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a forward-thinking vision for the future of IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term vision for the organization's IT infrastructure, aligning it with overall business objectives. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive cloud strategy.
• Team Management: Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of infrastructure professionals across multiple global locations. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Infrastructure Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services. This includes robust disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key third-party vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal service delivery.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security protocols across all infrastructure components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage IT budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support business needs.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure management, with a proven track record of success in leading large-scale projects.
• Deep expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization, and network architecture.
• A strong understanding of security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. The ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is crucial.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
