Contract Network Engineer (3-6 Months) - Marlow (Hybrid)

Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 3-6 month contract with a leading company based in Marlow. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge network security and infrastructure projects, including Wi-Fi system replacements, firewall security enhancements, and network migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wi-Fi System Replacement: Deploy and maintain Aruba APs and controllers across multiple sites.
• Network Security Implementation: Work with Palo Alto firewalls, implement Secure Web Proxy, DLP, MFA, and posture checking solutions.
• Switch & Router Management: Replace Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches with Aruba alternatives and manage existing Cisco and Aruba network infrastructure.
• MPLS Migration: Transition from a Cisco MPLS ring to a Direct Internet Access model, involving firewall deployment and network re-engineering.
• Firewall Administration: Implement and assess firewall rules, conforming to change management processes and working closely with the Managed Security Operations Centre.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Wi-Fi deployments (Aruba & Cisco).
• Deep understanding of firewall security (Palo Alto preferred).
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Aruba network infrastructure.
• Background in network migrations, including MPLS to DIA transitions.
• Ability to work on-site 2-3 days per week in Marlow.
