Fit Out Supervisor

We are currently working with a full turnkey provider delivering construction, MEP and full specialist services for bluechip clients wo are looking for a fit out supervisor to work on a notable scheme in canary wharf.

• 5 + years of experience and qualified to NVQ 3 in Carpentry & Joinery or similar industry trade qualification (Holder of CSCS / SSSTS as a minimum)
• Good and effective communicator generally
• Good understanding of H&S and demonstrates good practice on site
• Ability to follow instructions from Project Managers
• Ability to identify operational challenges and offer solutions to team members
• Keen eye for detail and someone who takes pride in their work and achieving a quality finish
• Ability to read construction and shop drawings and work to drawings and specification
• Ideally would hold a driving licence to make tool and material distribution easier
• Has a good set of tools and willingness to be a working supervisor as needed
• Forward thinking individual with the ability to make own decisions

Job responsibilities

• Report daily to Project Manager / line Manager
• Interpretation of drawings from Clients and Architects
• Ability to carry out surveys as needed and reporting labour / materials to estimating team
• Organising materials with the office team and identifying any shortfalls when needed
• Reporting any product defects to the Client / Management team
• Assisting in the development with apprentices on site
• Ensuring that permits and isolations are complete prior to works and closing upon finish
• Attending meetings that you have been asked to by Head Office / Site Management
• Managing small teams and working alongside them to achieve a quality finish on site
• Typical finishes include
  - Site set up / H&S
  - Ceiling tiles and grid
  - Plasterboard tracks and soffit
  - Drywall stud partitions
  - Glazed partition and track including doors and floor springs
  - Floor tiles and carpet
  - Tiling and kitchens
  - Installation of fire stopping products
  - Labelling of fire products as directed
  - Cleaning and attendance works

• Ability to use a PC / Tablet for;
  - H&S information
  - Company database (NetSuite / Procure / 1Breadcrumb)
  - General emails / reports
  - Timesheets
  - Purchase requisitions
  - Bolster reporting (fire doors / firestopping)
  - Snagging lists
