Senior Reporter
We are seeking a Senior Reporter to join Citywire s editorial team, with a key responsibility for driving and expanding our coverage of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).
The ETF sector has become a key focus for Citywire as we aim to grow and deepen our coverage in this area. ETFs are an increasingly significant part of the investment landscape, offering insights into various market trends, strategies, and innovations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead coverage, break important stories, interview major figures, and deliver in-depth analysis on the ETF market and its impact on investors.
What you ll be doing:
-Lead our ETF coverage by breaking original, engaging stories on ETF-related announcements and their significance for our readers.
-Develop and execute a strategy for covering key trends, developments, and innovations in the ETF sector, ensuring Citywire remains at the forefront of this growing area.
-Conduct interviews with fund managers and other key figures.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with fund managers, ETF issuers, and other key figures in the ETF space to ensure exclusive content and insights.
-Provide in-depth analysis and insights on the ETF sector, leveraging data and market trends to inform and shape coverage.
-Collaborate closely with other parts of the editorial team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive ETF reporting across digital platforms.
What we re looking for:
-Financial Journalism Experience: Proven experience in financial journalism, with a deep understanding of investment markets and the ability to report on complex financial topics with clarity and insight.
-Editorial Leadership: Experience assisting in editorial processes, refining content, and ensuring quality, with a willingness to take on additional editorial responsibilities as needed.
-Strong Communication Skills: You can build rapport with contacts, ask the right questions, and explain complex topics clearly and effectively.
-Ambition & Curiosity: A natural curiosity and eagerness to continue learning about the financial sector.
-Self-Starter: You can work independently, chase news leads, and break important stories that matter to our audience, while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
-Interest in Video and Podcasts: While experience may be required to build up to this, presenting video events and podcasts could become a significant part of the role over time.
