The Role:
Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a large secondary school in Chingford, London. This role will involve supporting students with SEND, delivering 1:1 support, and running small group interventions to help them engage and succeed in their education.
The school is looking for a patient and adaptable individual who can build positive relationships with students and provide essential academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 support and group interventions for students with SEND
- Assist in classroom activities, ensuring students stay engaged and on-task
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised learning plans
- Provide behaviour and emotional support where necessary, helping students to develop confidence and independence
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as an LSA or Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
- A strong understanding of SEND and experience supporting students in 1:1 and small group settings
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A positive and proactive approach to working with students with diverse needs
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
Additional Information:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Paid up to 110 per day, term time only
- Based in Chingford, London, with excellent transport links
- Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement
