Highways Maintenance Supervisor

My client is a large civils company that specialises in the maintenance of Highways through out the UK.

They are currently seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee the Re-active Maintenance aspect of the contract. Supervising a variety of works such as:

• Kerbing
• Drainage
• Pedestrian Railings
• Signage Schemes

The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the sub-contractors and working directly with the client. they will also be managing an in house workforce delivering some of the contract directly. Duties will include:

• Building a strong working relationship with the client
• Scheduling works to be carried out and liaising with relevant stakeholders such as Traffic Management
• Checking that the work has been carried out to a satisfactory standard and feeding back to sub-contractors where required.
• Programme Jobs
• Liaising with sub-contractors, client and other stakeholders to ensure works are carried out as required.
• Calculate the cost of works and liaise with client and sub-contractors

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience of working as a supervisor in the Highways maintenance sector
• Good IT skills
• A good knowledge of kerbing, drainage and other aspects relating to Highways Maintenance
• An ability to build strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors and other stakeholders
• Ability to plan works and ensure health and safety and other compliance is adhered to at all times.
