Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Engineer in Central London. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, and termination of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a. This is a site-based role requiring a strong understanding of network infrastructure and physical installation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Installation, testing and termination of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a cabling
• 
  Installation of containment systems, including trunking, conduit, tray, and basket
• 
  Installation and configuration of Access Points (APs) and network modules
• 
  Installation of new data cabinets and cabinet refreshes (including patching and cable management)
• 
  Labelling, documenting, and updating cabling schedules
• 
  Working from floor plans and following scope of works
• 
  Maintaining high standards of health and safety on-site
• 
  Communicating effectively with site managers and clients

Requirements:

• 
  Proven experience in data cabling installations (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
• 
  Competent in testing and fault-finding using Fluke or equivalent testers
• 
  Experience in installing containment and trunking systems
• 
  Familiar with AP installations and cabinet work
• 
  Own tools, PPE, and reliable transport (if travelling from outside London)
• 
  ECS/CSCS card (essential)
• 
  PASMA/IPAF (advantageous but not essential)
• 
  Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
