Rate: £90-£115 per day

We have an amazing new SEMH Teaching Assistant offer located in Walthamstow, East London. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant your day-to-day role will involve you providing direct support for the classroom teacher.

This amazing SEMH Teaching Assistant role will require you to successfully demonstrate your ability to create a positive inclusive learning environment for the student whilst collaborating with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong safeguarding experience
• An Enhanced DBS (Preferably on the update service)
