Secondary Tutor

New Chapter Tuition is looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Tutor to support secondary-aged learners across Waltham Forest who are unable to access mainstream education. You will work 1:1 with students with SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, or those at risk of exclusion, using a flexible, relationship-based approach to re-engage learners and support positive outcomes.

• Provide 1:1 outreach tuition to secondary-aged learners
• Deliver sessions in community settings (home, library, learning hub, alternative provision)
• Adapt learning to meet emotional, behavioural, and academic needs
• Build positive relationships to support confidence and engagement
• Track progress and liaise with families and professionals

• Experience supporting secondary-aged learners with SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, or exclusion
• Good knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum
• Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Confident working independently in community-based settings
