Senior Operations Officer

MLC Partners are delighted to be supporting a leading education institution to recruit an experienced Operations Officer. This is a broad, established-level operations role suited to someone with solid experience in education administration and confidence supporting senior stakeholders across HR, recruitment, EDI, governance and staff development.

Key responsibilities:

• Support HR and staffing processes, including recruitment, contract changes, onboarding, probation and leavers.
• Coordinate academic and professional services recruitment activity, including approvals, job adverts and appointment paperwork.
• Provide guidance to hiring managers and internal stakeholders on operational and HR procedures.
• Support staff development activity, including induction, mentoring, annual reviews and promotion processes.
• Coordinate EDI initiatives, action plans, data collection and related events.
• Service senior committees, including preparing agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate staff records and management information.
• Line manage an Operations Assistant, supporting workload, performance and development.
• Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and operational efficiency.

Key requirements:

• Experience in an administrative or operations role within education, ideally higher education.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and recruitment administration.
• Experience supporting senior stakeholders and servicing committees.
• Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail.
• Confidence handling confidential information.
• A proactive, collaborative approach.
