Job Opportunity: Lead Sports Coach at Primary School in Portsmouth

Prospero Teaching are excited to announce an opening for an enthusiastic Lead Sports Coach at our client mainstream Primary School in Portsmouth. This role is perfect for a qualified Sports Coach with a passion for working with young children and a background in Sports Coaching with leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging Physical Education lessons across the school with the support of Teaching Assistants.

• Promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among pupils.

• Encouraging students to participate in various sports and physical activities.

• Developing pupils' social, emotional, and behavioral skills through sports.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant sports experience and qualifications, including sports coaching badges and sports degrees.

• Drive and determination for pupil development while maintaining high expectations of achievement.

• Empathy and a caring nature when dealing with sensitive scenarios.

• Effective communication skills with staff, pupils, and parents.

• Adaptability and pro-activeness under pressure.

• Confidence in developing pupils socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

• Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire (PO2)

• Minimum Rate of Pay: From 105.00 per day

• Hours: 8:30am - 16:30pm (May vary)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
