About the Role:

Our client, a reputable educational institution in Hackney, is seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher for a long-term position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Religious Education lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the Humanities department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver comprehensive Religious Education lessons tailored to the KS3 and KS4 curricula, ensuring alignment with national standards.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

• Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the Religious Education curriculum, contributing to departmental initiatives and sharing best practices.

• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior, adhering to school policies and procedures.

• Engage in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of educational advancements and enhance teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Education is essential.

• A degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at KS3 and KS4 levels.

• Strong command of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment frameworks for secondary education.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
