Senior Estimator

This leading civil engineering group continues to grow despite challenging economic headwinds. Their latest results demonstrate excellent profit and turnover growth, and a fantastic, strong forward pipeline.

Due to an increase in enquiries, they need to strengthen their estimating team as soon as possible. You'll join a successful bid team and contribute to further successes at an exciting time for the group.

Brief overview as below:

• Develop estimates at all stages of the project life cycle from feasibility and concept through to detailed design
• Lead on the development of estimating strategies and present to senior stakeholders both internal and external.
• Preparation of the detailed scope/drawings from drawings and specifications
• Prepare material/sub-contract requirements for sourcing and pricing
• Focus on value-engineering throughout the bid stage design process
• Contribute to the identification of risk and pricing of risks throughout bids
• Attend client meetings throughout the tender process where appropriate
• Work on tenders from first principles
• Present tenders at bid team meetings/client presentations

Types of projects: 278 works, hard/soft landscaping, bulk earthworks, infrastructure, road construction, deep drainage.

About you:

1. Solid background as an estimator within the civil engineering industry
2. Experience pricing tenders from first principles
3. Happy to work in the Kent head office 5 days a week (no WFH on this one)
