Senior Mechanical Engineer

I'm working with a leading company in advanced data storage technology, developing innovative solutions that power the future of information management. To support their continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team in London.

• Lead the design and development of mechanical and mechatronic systems for data storage products.
• Create and refine 3D CAD models, prototypes, and assemblies to support product innovation.
• Develop and integrate motion systems, including motors, actuators, encoders, and controllers.
• Conduct design verification, testing, and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, manufacturing) to deliver end-to-end product solutions.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers within the team.

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in mechanical/mechatronics engineering, ideally within R&D or product development.
• Proven ability in 3D CAD design, prototyping, and system integration.
• Hands-on expertise with motion systems: motors, actuators, encoders, and controllers.
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
