We are seeking a Careers Lead to develop and implement our careers strategy, ensuring it aligns with national careers guidance and SEND best practices.
- Job title: Careers Lead
- Location: Central/Multi Base (Brighton, Canterbury, Earls Court, Swanley, Wandsworth) with regular meetings in Westerham and options to work from home
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Depending on Experience

Day-to-Day of the Role of a Careers Lead
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and maintain the careers strategy. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the careers provision and produce reports for senior leaders.
- Careers Education and Guidance: Design and coordinate a comprehensive careers programme. Ensure learners have access to impartial careers information, advice, and guidance.
- Employer and Community Engagement: Build relationships with employers and develop internship and employment opportunities. Liaise with local authorities and community organisations.
- Learner Support: Work closely with curriculum teams to support learners with transition planning and the development of employability skills.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of careers interventions and analyse data to inform service improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and support external inspections.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Careers Lead role:
- Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience required. Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification or willingness to achieve it.
- Experience: Proven experience in delivering careers education and guidance, particularly with young people or adults with SEND. Strong background in employer engagement and partnership working.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and employment pathways. Familiarity with Gatsby Benchmarks and careers guidance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent planning, monitoring, and evaluation skills. Strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
