Senior/Lead Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a main contractor in the Rail/Water sector as a Senior Estimator on permanent basis. As the Senior Estimator you will lead estimates for civil engineering works and collaborate with the tender teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead team of estimators for larger tendors, monitoring and developing junior estimators
• identify opportunity and risk during tender process
• Present basis of estimate and key assumptions
• Prepare handovers to site teams at contract award
• Develop a tender win stratergy alongside the business unit teams
• Liase with the business unit, Bid Manager and Planner to agree methodology and principles

What do we need from you?

• Experience in water and civils sectors
• Proven track record working on tenders ranging up to 50million
• Chartered, incorporated status or similar
• Ability to ensure all tender submissions are both feasible and profitable
• Confidence in dealing with customers and personnel at a senior level
