CNC Turner

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner with expertise in programming, setting and operting to join our aerospace team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and operating 2-axis and multi-axis lathes, with a focus on precision engineering for industries such as aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

• CNC Programming: Develop programs for CNC 2 & 3-axis lathes with live tooling using Fanuc controls to ensure precise and efficient machining.
• Machine Setup & Production: Set up machines and produce initial components, ensuring they meet all specifications and tolerances.
• Multi-Machine Operation: Operate multiple CNC lathes as required to achieve production targets and meet deadlines.
• Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet exact tolerances, including both Metric and Imperial measurements.
• Grinding & Gear Cutting: Handle grinding and gear cutting tasks, ensuring flawless finishes and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production processes and adjustments made to machinery.

Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating 2-axis and multi-axis lathes (Fanuc controls).
• Proven ability to achieve high precision with tight tolerances of up to 0.008mm.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience working with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Strong background in the aerospace industry or similar high-precision manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work with both Metric and Imperial measurements.
• Strong computer literacy and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to work.
