We are seeking a Subject Lead for the Foundation - Business Pathway at our academic institution. This role is pivotal in supporting progression onto degree programmes, focusing on business, hospitality, fashion management, and marketing. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring that teaching strategies and course materials meet the highest educational standards and are aligned with industry developments.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead and manage the curriculum development for the Foundation - Business Pathway.
• Engage in the creation and delivery of course materials and teaching strategies that are innovative and inclusive.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students, monitor their progress, and maintain records.
• Maintain strong industry links and stay updated with the latest developments in business, hospitality, fashion management, and marketing.
• Collaborate with the academic team and contribute to cross-disciplinary curriculum development and teaching strategies.
• Utilize information and communication technologies to enhance learning experiences and organisational effectiveness.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities relevant to the discipline.
• Attend and contribute to course-related meetings and examination boards.
• Manage the overall program of teaching and assessment within the subject area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Relevant BA and postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Teaching qualification (PG Cert or equivalent).
• Fellowship (or Higher) of the Higher Education Academy (desirable).
• Proven expertise in developing course materials and teaching Business Modules at Foundation level.
• Demonstrable experience in curriculum design and development in a Higher Education environment.
• Strong understanding of assessment practices and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent planning and resource management skills to meet objectives.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills across professional groups.
