  • Running test rigs and analysing results
  • Identifying issues, recommending fixes and driving improvements
  • Presenting findings to the product design and engineering teams
  • Conducting quality checks on components and final products
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO)
  • Inspecting pipework, materials and assemblies

This is a hands-on role working with heating and electrical systems, valves, pumps, sensors, pipework and associated instrumentation.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Test Engineer or similar role
  • Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to read and work from schematics/drawings
  • Comfortable in workshop and laboratory environments
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and analytical mindset
  • Experience with testing techniques and methodologies
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations

Desirable experience

  • Instrumentation (thermocouples, flow meters, pressure sensors)
  • Data logging systems/PLCs
  • Calibration processes
  • Building test rigs with heaters, pumps, pipework and tanks
  • Electrical tools (multimeters, clamp meters)
  • Working with high-power systems (up to 1,000 A)
  • Writing/following risk assessments
  • Safe handling of steam and electrical equipment
  • Familiarity with method statements, PPE and lockout procedures

Why Apply?

  • Join a growing engineering team developing genuinely impactful technology
  • Flexible working options
  • Friendly, inclusive and supportive company culture
  • Opportunities for ongoing learning and professional development
  • Potential career progression into Lead Test Engineer, Validation Engineer or Commissioning Engineer as the organisation scales
