Location: Greenwich, South East LondonPosition: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Year 6 Support)Start Date: November 2025Pay: £110 - £130 per day (pro rata)Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday - Mornings only

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich to recruit an experienced and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a Year 6 class from November 2025.

This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is well known for its nurturing ethos, high expectations, and commitment to helping every child achieve their potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils as they prepare for their end-of-year assessments, delivering engaging interventions, and providing high-quality classroom support each morning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and proactive HLTA who is passionate about upper Key Stage 2 learning and eager to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, forward-thinking school environment.

• HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience (essential)

• Proven experience supporting learning in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation

• Confidence in delivering small-group and whole-class learning sessions

• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

• Supporting teaching and learning within the Year 6 classroom each morning

• Delivering targeted intervention sessions in core subjects (Maths and English)

• Leading small-group and occasional whole-class activities under the direction of the class teacher

• Assisting in planning, assessing, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils' needs

• Promoting positive behaviour and fostering an encouraging learning atmosphere

• Supportive and collaborative leadership team

• Strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and professional growth
