Teacher of History - key responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with opportunities for Key Stage 5 in the future).
Inspire students by bringing history to life, fostering an understanding of historical events and their relevance to the modern world.
Develop, plan, and implement the history curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and accessible for all students.
Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their full potential.
Promote the values of historical inquiry, critical thinking, and independent research.
Participate in school events, including history-related extracurricular activities, clubs, and trips.
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure high standards across the department.
Teacher of History - requirements:
An excellent undergraduate degree in History or a related field.
UK QTS.
A genuine passion for history and the ability to inspire students with your enthusiasm.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
The ability to teach History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
A commitment to developing professionally and contributing to the wider life of the school.
