Power BI Developer

We're working with an IT consultancy delivering a major project for a public sector client, and they're looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join the team.

Key Details:

• Start: ASAP
• Rate: Up to £478.50pd (Outside IR35)
• Contract: Until 31/10 initially, rolling 3-month extensions (long-term work)
• Location: Remote
• Clearance: Active SC clearance required

Technical Skills Needed:

• Power BI - building reports & dashboards
• Data Modelling - semantic models within Microsoft Synapse
• DAX - advanced formulas & data analysis
• SQL - queries to extract & manipulate data
• Synapse Integration - workspaces, pipelines & dedicated SQL pools
• Dataset optimisation - performance tuning & incremental refresh
• Data Gateway setup & configuration
• Security - Row-Level Security & workspace permissions
• Stakeholder engagement - defining KPIs & reporting needs
• Documentation - clear, structured reporting logic
