Fram are working with a London based Finance lender who are seeking an experience Collections Manager to join their team. They deal with lending to SME's and need a collection manager who is happy to deal with the day to responsibility, while building a team around them. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the collections manager experience but wants to develop into a management role in the future, or someone who has that experience but is happy to do the collections role to start with. As the Collections Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the collections and recovery's function. This critical role involves developing effective recovery strategies, and minimising portfolio losses while maintaining a professional and fair approach with our business clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive performance to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as recovery rates.
• Develop and implement effective, compliant, and data-driven collections strategies for managing accounts in early and late-stage arrears.
• Personally handle escalated cases, negotiating forbearance, settlement arrangements, or initiating legal action where necessary.
• Ensure all collections activities are conducted in full compliance with UK regulations, including FCA principles and data protection laws.
• Manage relationships with third-party partners, including solicitors and insolvency practitioners.
• Analyse portfolio performance, produce regular reports for senior management on arrears trends, and provide insights to mitigate future credit risk.
• Continuously review and improve collections processes, systems, and communication templates to enhance efficiency and customer outcomes. About You:

An ideal candidate will have proven experience in a collections management or team leader role, specifically within the B2B or commercial lending sector. In-depth knowledge of unsecured lending and the associated recovery processes. A strong understanding of the UK legal framework for debt recovery, including County Court Judgements (CCJs), statutory demands, and insolvency procedures. Be a firm but fair negotiator, able to balance commercial objectives with treating customers fairly (TCF). Someone who is happy to do the collections role, while implanting policies, procedures, strategies etc in order to move the business forward and eventually build a team underneath them.
