Fleet Engineer

Salary: Competitive plus performance bonus, company car/car cash allowance, pension and many other Veolia benefits.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Location: St.Albans

What you'll be doing;

  • Ensure that our Fleet is maintained efficiently within legal guidelines and the VMR toolkit standard, adding value to the operating business.
  • Work with the internal and external maintenance providers ensuring best value and quality for all aspects of the fleet are maintained, essentially working as part of the Fleet Services team working to continuously improve performance.
  • Responsible for all maintenance activity and costs on a day to day basis within a specific area.
  • Ensure agreed operational targets are achieved in respect of Risk and Assurance performance, asset availability and reliability, whilst effectively managing all operational and asset related risks.
  • Ensure health and safety monitoring is completed including VMR inspections, equipment inspections and report all accidents, incidents and close calls using AVA.
  • Minimize the whole life cost of operating assets and increase asset availability.



What we're looking for;

  • Be experienced with vehicle maintenance solutions.
  • Understand Operator license / legislative requirements - preferably a CPC holder.
  • Level 3 NVQ Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Preferably have a valid LGV licence and be an experienced time served vehicle engineer.
