Airfreight Freight Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Airfreight Freight Manager with Import/export experience (essential) to work with our fast growing Logistics Distribution and supply chain client based in Hayes Middlesex.

The ideal candidate for Airfreight Freight Manager must have the following experience in Logistics Distribution and supply chain

• Extensive knowledge in Airfreight particularly imports as well as export
• Be confident with ASM software software or similar within the industry
• Experience with AWB production and documentation
• Confident with ETSF/Bonded warehouse regulations
• Background in MOU management, including drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with agreements.

Airfreight Freight Manager Role overview

Manage airfreight operations, including import and export clearance, shed transfers, and AWB production. This role requires a highly skilled professional with senior-level experience in airfreight logistics, a strong understanding of industry regulations, and the ability to ensure efficient and compliant freight movement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end airfreight processes, coordinating with airlines and customs authorities, ensuring seamless cargo handling, and overseeing MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) management related to freight agreements and compliance.

Airfreight Freight Manager Key Responsibilities-

• Manage and coordinate airfreight operations, ensuring efficient handling of import and export shipments.
• Oversee ASM software operations, ensuring accuracy in customs declarations and compliance with regulations.
• Liaise with airlines, freight carriers, and customs authorities to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
• Supervise shed transfers and airfreight handling to minimise delays and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure proper AWB production and documentation management for all airfreight shipments.
• Maintain compliance with ETSF/Bonded Warehouse regulations (if applicable).
• Manage MOU agreements related to customs clearance, freight handling, and service-level expectations with logistics partners.
• Provide expert guidance on airfreight customs clearance procedures, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline airfreight operations and improve efficiency.
• Support IT in optimising processes to reduce scanning and administrative workload.
