A boutique financial institution in London is seeking an experienced SMF-16 Compliance Officer to join on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working part-time (2 days per week). This is a strategic appointment to provide senior compliance oversight and ensure continued regulatory alignment during a key phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the FCA-registered SMF-16 (Compliance Function).
• Provide expert compliance oversight across the bank's regulated activities.
• Advise the Board and senior leadership on regulatory obligations and risk management.
• Lead FCA engagement and ensure robust governance and reporting.
• Support the enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Candidate Profile:

• Must have previously held the SMF-16 designation within a UK-regulated financial institution.
• Deep understanding of FCA regulatory expectations and compliance governance.
• Proven ability to operate at Board level and manage external regulatory relationships.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
• Comfortable with a part-time, on-site commitment (2 days/week in London).
