Warehouse Picker/ Packer

Our professional client based near Ware are recruiting awarehouse operative to join their energetic, family run business. This is an exciting time to join our expanding company and is an ideal role for someone already working in a warehouse environment. It will be your job to receive, pick, create, pack, sort and ship parcels. You'll be expected to work to the highest standards to make sure the company exceeds customer expectations.

This is a full-time temp to perm role and the working hours are Monday to Friday - 7am to 5pm (45 minutes for lunch). This role offers a rate of £12.21 per hour, plus holiday pay.

Due to our client's location, candidates must have their own mode of transport.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The job includes (but not limited to) the following responsibilities:

• Picking: selecting items for a customer order.
• Packing: packing the items to be shipped to a customer
• Bringing items into the building and checking what has been received from suppliers.
• Placing stock in a specific place until they are ordered by a customer.
• Shipping: preparing freight for dispatch and loading vehicles.
• Manual checking of product codes ready for picking
• Clean & tidy: working together to ensure the warehouse environment is clean and tidy and a safe place to work in.

Skills/Experience

• Experience of working within a similar role
• Ability to work to KPI's and picking targets
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Team player
• Ability to read picking notes and labels to pick correct stock
• Some heavy lifting involved so ability lift and shift stock
