Join a leading independent technology and services provider as a Technician 3!

Job Overview:Support client Migration project at Merville Barracks, assisting with device refresh, clinic setup, and stock management. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring SC Clearance and coordination with contractor engineers and site managers.

Location: Roman Way, Colchester CO2 7UT

Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £19.38 (PAYE) OR £25.15 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).

Contract Length: 02 Jan 2026 - 03 Mar 2026

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Key Responsibilities

• Support migration setup and refresh clinic activities.
• Move devices from onsite storage to refresh clinic as instructed.
• Log in to systems using provided devices under supervision.
• Refresh laptops and update workflow management systems accurately.
• Seek guidance from Post Migration Technical Support Specialist and Site Manager.
• Assist with daily manual stock checks and report findings.
• Secure devices in storage at the end of each day.

Key Requirements

• SC Clearance (mandatory)
• Previous experience in IT support or device refresh projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Familiarity with workflow management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
