Senior Business Accountant

Role: Senior Business Accountant

Type: 2-3 months contract

Salary: 65k to 67k Pro Rata

Hybrid working: 2-3 days on-site per week

Location: London

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Accountant for our Public Sector client.

Key responsibilities for Senior Business Accountant are;

Supervise two Assistant Business Accountants and provide competent financial advice and support to Senior Management and its devolved budget holders

Ensure that the monthly management reports and related commentaries are evaluated for accuracy, completeness, and relevance before delivery within the agreed-upon timeframes, and take the lead in the quarterly forecasting process

Liaise with external auditors and offer the information they seek

Form great working relationships with your budget holders from several directorates within your regions of responsibility.

The Ideal candidate for the Senior Business Accountant will have;

A recognised CCAB/CIMA professional accountancy qualification

High expertise using a recognised accounting software like open accounts

Experience with leading and managing a team

Experience in producing accurate and timely management accounts to multiple departments including up to date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations

Experience of accurate budget setting and forecasting

Experience proactively establishing processes and new ways of working to generate continuous improvement.
