Job Summary:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the finance department. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing and recording invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
- Assisting with payroll administration
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Preparing and analysing financial reports
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- A relevant financial qualification, such as:
- AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
- ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
- CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
