Are you a passionate SEN teacher ready to make a lasting difference in a small, supportive classroom environment?

A welcoming specialist SEN school in Cricklewood, North West London is looking for a committed KS2 SEN Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach a small class of pupils with autism, where personalised learning and strong relationships are at the heart of every school day.

The class has a maximum of six pupils working across a range of learning levels within Key Stage 2. The successful teacher will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support both academic development and key life skills such as communication, independence and emotional regulation.

This role offers a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right teacher.

Key Responsibilities

Teach a small Key Stage 2 class of pupils with autism and additional learning needs

Deliver engaging lessons across core primary curriculum subjects

Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and learning profiles

Create a structured and predictable classroom environment that supports engagement

Develop pupils communication, social interaction and independence skills

Work closely with teaching assistants to deliver consistent support

Build strong, positive relationships that help pupils feel safe, confident and motivated

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a valid Teacher Reference Number

Primary trained teacher with experience delivering the KS2 curriculum

At least two years of experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs

Experience working with autism or within a specialist SEN setting

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Flexible, patient and able to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

Classroom Support

Two experienced teaching assistants supporting learning throughout the day

Collaborative approach with SENCOs, therapists and wider school staff

Well-resourced classroom environment designed to support structured learning
