Freelance Site Engineer (Quality & Subcontractor Management) - Major Highways/Infrastructure
Location: Calvert
Duration: 6 months minimum
Rate: 450 per day (Inside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in quality management and subcontractor coordination on major highways/infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will oversee subcontractors responsible for setting out, ensuring quality compliance and efficient site operations.

• 
  Subcontractor Management - Oversee and coordinate subcontractors responsible for setting out works, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• 
  Quality Systems & Compliance - Implement and manage quality control procedures in line with project and industry standards.
• 
  Site Engineering Support - Provide engineering input to ensure accuracy of setting out, working closely with subcontractors and site teams.
• 
  Documentation & Reporting - Maintain records, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• 
  Stakeholder Coordination - Liaise with project managers, clients, and other site professionals to drive project progress.

  Strong experience in quality management on major highways/infrastructure projects.
• 
  Background in site engineering with setting out knowledge.
• 
  Proven experience in subcontractor management.
• 
  Proficient in relevant quality systems and standards.
• 
  Understanding of health & safety regulations on large-scale projects.
