General Operative

Job Title: General Operative
Location: Letchworth GC
Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm & Friday, 8am-4.30pm
Hourly Rate: £11.50+ per hour

Our growing client based in Letchworth GC are looking for a General Operative to join their team. The candidate that we are looking for be enthusiastic and open to working within a number of duties, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.

What's needed as a General Operative:
- Experience working within a Factory setting
- Knowledge and understanding of production, and ideally Powder Coating (desirable)
- Hand and Power tool understanding
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team
- Counterbalance Forklift license desirable

Duties as a General Operative:
- To prepare materials to be readied for Powder Coating (cleaning, sanding, wiping down etc.)
- Work across their Goods in/out section, ensuring all orders are correctly processed and taken
- Checking customer orders sheets and liaising with drivers
- Lifting heavy loads in around the factory/warehouse, up to 20kg
- Forklift truck operation for heavier loads
- Be prepared to potentially learn skills within Powder Coating
