Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Financial Consultant for our client a local government organisation in Brent.
This role is a 3 month initial contract with the possibility to extend. The role will be hybrid working.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Lead and deliver strategic financial planning across the organisation, including medium-term financial strategies, budget setting, and financial modelling.
- Provide financial modelling and scenario planning to inform strategic decisions.
- Advise on the financial implications of government policy changes, including the Fair Funding Review, Business Rates reset, etc.
- Deliver high-quality financial research and analysis to support service transformation and investment decisions.
- Support and challenge directorates on budget management, savings delivery, and investment proposals.
Personal Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Extensive experience in local government finance, particularly in financial planning and strategy.
- Strong understanding of public sector funding, including grants, council tax, and business rates.
Working Hours: 36hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday
Pay: £44.33 per hr
Please note this role is outside IR35.
