Key Responsibilities:
- Property Risk Engineering: Assess and manage property-related risks, working closely with clients to identify exposures and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risk.
- Risk Improvement: Utilize best practices in risk improvement to advise clients on property risk management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to provide comprehensive risk assessments and deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
- Client Interaction: Communicate complex risk concepts to clients in an easy-to-understand, consultative manner, ensuring they understand risk exposures and recommended actions.
- Loss Control: Provide insights and advice on loss control, helping clients implement systems and practices that minimize risks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- For Property Risk Engineer / Senior Property Risk Account Engineer:
- Bachelor s Degree and 6+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working in a team environment.
- For Principal Risk Engineering Specialist:
- Bachelor s Degree and 8+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, or
- Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate s Degree, and 8+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practice risk improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or a related field.
- Experience with HPR Property.
- Account Executive and Loss Control / Risk Engineering experience in the insurance industry.
- Certification as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
- Strong communication and consultative skills.
- Outstanding collaborative skills with a proven track record in a team environment.
- Proficiency with PCs, software, and systems related to risk management and property engineering.
