Surface Mount Supervisor

We are seeking a Surface Mount Supervisor to join a middle leadership team and play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the company. This position involves overseeing the Surface Mount Department, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient execution of tasks to uphold reputation for high-quality service.

• Manage the workload and assign tasks to staff within the Surface Mount Department.
• Ensure all team members have the necessary resources and guidance to perform their jobs effectively.
• Organise the team to maximise efficiency based on job size and quantity.
• Liaise closely with account managers to ensure efficient production schedules and address any engineering problems.
• Provide training and development for staff, monitor work standards, and support team members in advancing their skills.
• Handle minor disciplinary issues and act as the first point of contact for staff and customer communications within the department.
• Promote the company's values and ensure a cohesive working environment.

• Proven experience at a Senior Surface Mount Operator level or similar.
• Strong understanding of departmental functions and efficient team management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide technical assistance and support.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Ability to conduct training, appraisals, and participate in the recruitment process.
• Must be approachable and adaptable, ensuring smooth interdepartmental interactions.
