Teaching Assistant - Maternity Cover

Prospero Teaching is currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a one-form entry Primary School in Portsmouth (PO2), rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils in groups and on a 1:1 basis under the guidance of the class teacher. Your role will also involve indoor and outdoor play duties.

Position: Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Location: Portsmouth (PO2)

Start Date: April 2025

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 15:30pm

Rate of Pay: 13.09 per hour

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

• Must have Enhanced Child DBS on update service

• Must have Right to Work in the UK

• Must have experience working with children and young people

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
