The School and Role

This 11-18 secondary school in Chelmsford, are looking to appoint a dedicated and committed MFL Teacher to work in a language specialist school with Sixth Form. Working in this Secondary School as part of an established team, the desired MFL Teacher must be able to teach their specialist language to A-Level as well as Spanish, French and German to at least KS3. This is an excellent opportunity for an MFL Teacher who is seeking a high-achieving school with Sixth Form. Staff at this school feel supported by SLT, and students are encouraged to achieve academically, particularly in languages which are compulsory at GCSE. Ideal for an MFL Teacher based in Essex, with easy access from the A12 and Greater Anglia and bus services for Public Transport users.

Requirements

The desired MFL Teacher will;

• Have a good understanding of French, German and Spanish.
• Be responsible for assessing students against learning outcomes and ensuring all groups of students make progress.
• Be able to ensure that students can effectively converse, write and communicate in multiple languages.
• Encourage the wider exploration of culture and open up a new world of possibilities and travel through language.
• Have a good knowledge of the UK Curriculum.
• PGCE in Modern Languages with QTS and right to work in the UK.
• Suitable for ECTs!
