Goods In & Goods Out Operative

We are currently recruiting for a temp to perm 'Goods In & Goods Out Operative' to join a Leighton Buzzard based company, starting ASAP.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday, 08:00am - 17:00pm & Friday 08:00am - 14.30pm.

Location: Leighton Buzzard.

Contract Type: Temp to Perm.

Overview:

Duties:

• Handling all goods in/out.
• Unloading containers.
• Wrapping pallets and consignments.
• Logging deliveries onto the computer system.
• Cleaning facilities, equipment and machines.
• Assisting engineers with the daily upkeep of machinery.
• Supporting with daily warehouse, production and operations process.

Experience Required:

• Full, UK Driving License essential, to carry out local deliveries if required in company can.
• Must be over 25 due to company vehicle insurance.
• Goods In / Out experience essential, ideally in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Able to work on your own initiative, troubleshoot problems and work with little or no supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Good computer / keyboard skills.
• Experience in maintaining service & maintenance requirements for all despatch & facilities equipment, including issues relating to the company van & forklift truck.
• Operating forklift (Counterbalance), pallet trucks & overhead hoist (preferred, not essential).
• Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
• Experience dealing with all couriers & efficient planning of the transport requirements.
• Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
• Motivated and self-driven with a high attention to detail.
• Physically fit to carry out manual handling activities.
