Plumber/Pipefitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various plumbing and pipefitting tasks. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.

Duties

• Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures in accordance with specifications and building codes.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks.
• Perform welding tasks including stick welding and soldering as required for pipe connections.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and implement effective solutions promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as a plumber or pipefitter is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
• Experience in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
• A valid plumbing qualification or apprenticeship is an advantage but not mandatory for skilled individuals demonstrating relevant experience.

Pay: 23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
