Lead Planner - Major Construction Project

This leading built asset consultancy have been appointed as strategic delivery partner for a major UK development programme, including complex infrastructure and vertical development with significant interfaces across national transport and utility networks.
One of the roles they are looking to fill initially is for a Lead Planner to carry out, amongst other things, the roles below;
You will lead a team responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects from inception to completion.
You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the master programme schedule.
You will be lead interface with the Client's planning department to coordinate interfacing work packages. This will include advising on construction activities, timelines and expected sequencing.
You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including project managers, constructability managers, contractors, engineers, architects, and clients, to create and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and implement strategies to overcome potential obstacles.
You will collaborate with project stakeholders to support development of detailed project plans, outlining project activities, timelines, and critical milestones.
You will coordinate with resource managers to review/allocate labour, equipment, and materials according to project requirements and schedules to carry out assigned obligations efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
You must have proficiency in project management software and tools (Asta PowerProjects and/or Primavera P6) and an in-depth knowledge of construction project management principles, techniques, and best practices as well as experience scheduling projects from conception through to completion (RIBA stage 1-5).
