Science Teacher (Chemistry Preferred, but generalist considered)

We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher, ideally with a Chemistry Specialism, to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching students from KS3 to KS5, fostering a deep understanding of Science while inspiring a love for learning and scientific inquiry and maintaining high expectations for engagement and attainment in your lessons.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Science.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
- Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain discipline through effective classroom management strategies.
- Stay updated with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
- Organise and participate in school events, outings, and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching Science to A-level students.
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong passion for Science and education.
