Science Teacher (Chemistry Preferred, but generalist considered)

We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher, ideally with a Chemistry Specialism, to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching students from KS3 to KS5, fostering a deep understanding of Science while inspiring a love for learning and scientific inquiry and maintaining high expectations for engagement and attainment in your lessons.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Science.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and by their organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.
• Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback.
• Maintain discipline through effective classroom management strategies.
• Stay updated with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
• Organise and participate in school events, outings, and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience in teaching Science to A-level students.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong passion for Science and education.
