As an experienced Toxicologist or Ecotoxicologist you will be a member of the Regulatory and Toxicology Team, within Product Stewardship & Compliance for an innovative STEM organisation. Working alongside our existing toxicologists, you will provide toxicology and regulatory support to new product development and existing products.

Key Responsibilities
- Contracting and monitoring toxicology and ecotoxicology studies with laboratories to provide hazard information for our products
- Conducting hazard and risk assessments for our products to ensure they are manufactured, handled and used safely
- Liaising with regulatory consultants in different countries to deliver global projects
- Monitoring regulatory and scientific developments in key areas of toxicology and reporting back to the business functions on the impacts for our products
- Providing expert toxicology and ecotoxicology advice to business stakeholders to guide the development of new and sustainable chemistry
- Assessing and summarising toxicology / ecotoxicology studies and preparing regulatory dossiers
- Representing the company within industry trade associations and consortia.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or biological science and a postgraduate qualification in Toxicology or Ecotoxicology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interpret complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of ecotoxicology and/or environmental fate and behaviour studies
- Industry experience is desirable and/or a working knowledge of industrial chemical regulations.
- Ability to multi-task, working under pressure to tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Good knowledge of organic chemistry would be desirable
- Understanding of ecotoxicology and/or environmental fate and behaviour studies
- Hands-on knowledge of chemical regulations, and regulatory databases and risk assessment software used for industrial chemical notifications
- Experience in application of theoretical toxicology knowledge to a real-world environment e.g., high-pressure assessments, through to setup and monitoring of long-term studies, interpretation of results, and conveying the implications to a fast-moving global business
- Experience (desirable) in QSAR and modelling approaches to characterising hazards of modern chemical products
