Financial Controller

Have you spent these last years honing your craft as a Financial Controller and feel ready for your next career step, aiming for Finance Director in the next 2-3 years?

This role is working as part of a small accounting and business support firm, providing accountancy and other "back office" services to a global portfolio of financial services companies.

In this role, you'll work closely with the FD and deputise for them in their absence; you will also take full accountability for the UK office while the FD is overseas.

Based at pleasant offices (with onsite parking!) in Ampthill, Bedfordshire - easily commutable from Bedford, Milton Keynes and Luton.

Or an hour by train from London, if you're looking to escape the rat race ? Leading a small team of Accountants, you'll be responsible for the following:

• Producing monthly management accounts
• Budgets and forecasts
• Treasury and cash management
• Global reporting pack production
• VAT, PAYE and Corporation tax

Plus overseeing functions such as accounts payable, credit control, annual audit, upgrading finance systems, review of accounting processes, etc.

Basic salary up to £80,000 for a candidate that ticks all the boxes in terms of experience, along with excellent benefits including annual bonus, life cover (4 x salary) and family level private medical cover.

This is an exciting role where you will be working at a senior level, assessing and advising business owners on future investments, helping set up new companies, introduce new systems, etc.

You should be a Qualified Accountant - at least 5 years PQE - holding either ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with IFRS 17 experience and having worked with SAGE accounting software.
