Total Machining Solutions are an award-winning 5-axis CNC machining specialists, located in Chatham. TMS manufactures patterns, moulds, props, models and products for a multitude of industries : Formula One, motorsport, aerospace, automotive through to Film & TV.

TMS was established in 2010 and have since grown to 30 employees across four sites. Continually investing in staff skills, new technology and machinery, our highly skilled workforce maintain high standards and work with our customers to develop their products and our services.

TMS have recently opened an innovation centre, purchasing state of the art, Additive and Subtractive machinery, working to develop the future of materials and machining.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join TMS as Quality Inspector.

Role Tasks and Responsibilities: The main role and responsibilities of the Quality Inspector position is to ensure that all items that require inspection are fully inspected and tested to ensure that they are within acceptable tolerances.

Main duties performed will include but not limited to:

• Producing inspection reports for all items that go through the Inspection Process.
• Examine and report on all faulty items
• Assist with the smooth running of the quality system consistent with our ISO9001 requirements.
• Assisting our manufacturing departments with hand finishing of a variety of materials

Essential Qualities of Post Holder:

• Usage of inspection equipment (Micrometers, Verniers, 3D scanner - training available)
• A positive can-do attitude;
• Experience of working in an Inspection/Quality Control environment;
• Problem-solving and suggesting solutions to problems.
• Computer & Administration Skills
• Communication skills

Desirable Qualities of Post Holder:

• Experience of working in a workshop/manufacturing environment;
• Self-motivating and being able to work without constant supervision.
