Your new schoolA welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of South Kensington is seeking a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.The school is renowned for its nurturing ethos, strong community values, and commitment to providing an outstanding education for all pupils, including those with special educational needs.Your new roleAs a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a child with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom.Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for a pupil with SEN (including ASD/communication needs)
• Adapting learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
• Supporting social and emotional development
• Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals
• Promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
• A patient, caring, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
