Teaching Assistant Medical

Location: IG6, East London Contract: Long-term supply Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Start Date: Immediate

A well-regarded East London secondary school is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students with complex medical needs. This is a long-term supply role ideal for someone with a background in healthcare or medical support, looking to make a meaningful impact in education.

• Provide tailored support to students with specific health needs
• Administer medication and assist with stoma care as required
• Respond appropriately to medical situations involving central lines or mic-key buttons
• Work closely with the SEN and pastoral teams to ensure student safety and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding protocols

• Prior experience in a healthcare support role (e.g. nursing assistant, care worker, medical TA)
• Confidence in managing or learning procedures such as stoma care, medication administration, and emergency response
• Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
